The AYC Midwest Regional Competitors List Doubles From Last Year

We are excited to report that the outstanding cheerleading squad of Sound Mind Sound Body is taking their elite abilities to Regionals! After performing in the SMSB local competition at Belleville High School, 51 teams advanced to compete in the 2023 AYC Midwest Regionals in Columbus, Ohio, November 18-19.

Competing teams proved themselves by placing high in SMSB’s recent competition. Over 350 athletes will again display complexity, sharpness, and creativity as they compete against teams from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

Last year, 26 teams traveled to represent their organizations and SMSB. Thirteen teams became the 2022 AYC Midwest Regional Champions upon competing for National Titles.

The chance to contend at a regional level demonstrates resilience, effort, and enthusiasm for the sport of cheer and dance.
