Detroit, MI – Calling all athletes and football enthusiasts! Sound Mind Sound Body Youth Association is thrilled to announce its second annual League Wide Scrimmage and Media Day. This exciting and action-packed event will occur on August 19 at Wayne Memorial High School.
The highly anticipated scrimmage and media day will feature 10 of the best organizations in the Midwest. The talented group includes seven 2022 AYF Regional Championship teams and the 2022 AYF National Championship team, The Southfield Falcons 11u, who competed in Kissimmee, FL.
The youth football scrimmage aims to celebrate teamwork, sportsmanship, athleticism, and healthy competition among our young athletes and community of supporters. Players will get a chance to compete on the field and take part in a media segment throughout the day.
Come and join the fun as we watch young stars take the field. The scheduled event kicks off at 10 am – 6 pm. Tickets for the summer’s largest League Wide Scrimmage can be purchased through Eventbrite.

Sound Mind Sound Body (SMSB) services over 5,000 students and has over 1,100 volunteers who spend approximately 300 hours annually giving back to Metro Detroit youth. The after-school college readiness program empowers athletes to achieve excellence on and off the field while fostering character, leadership, and overall well-being.
