Sound Mind Sound Body is gearing up to host its 8th annual 7v7 high school
football showcase at Wayne State University from June 23-25, 2026. With support from Battle
Sports, the three-day showcase will bring together 48 teams from across the nation for elite
competition. Established as one of the Midwest’s premier summer recruiting events, the
showcase provides student-athletes with an opportunity to compete against top talent, while also
gaining valuable exposure from college coaches, recruiters, and media outlets seeking to get an
early look at many of the athletes.
Some of Michigan’s highest-ranked football prospects and most nationally recognized recruits
from the classes of 2027 and 2028 will be in attendance for this year’s showcase. Leading the
event are prominent athletes from Harper Woods, Cass tech, Brother Rice, King, and Orchard
Lake St. Mary’s. Many standouts have already been offered scholarships from programs such as
Auburn, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Maryland, Duke, Cincinnati, Arkansas,
and Arizona State. With more than 200 participating athletes already holding Division I
scholarships, the showcase continues to highlight many of the athletes expected to become the
next generation of Division I and professional football talent.
Sound Mind Sound Body remains committed to helping shape well-rounded student-athletes
both on and off the field. Twenty athletes participating in this year’s showcase are also enrolled
in SMSB’s OST program, reflecting the organization’s dedication to supporting academic
achievement, leadership development, career readiness, and athletic excellence.
Fans, families, and football enthusiasts are encouraged to attend all three days of competition and
witness some of the nation’s rising football talent compete. Please be mindful that admission is
$10 per day, tickets must be purchased through GoFan, and all children must be accompanied by
