PSAT and MSAT Top Performers of SMSB Are Recognized for Their Academic Success

With great pride, we share the news of Sound Mind Sound Body’s recent efforts to ensure academic success for its athletes. By prioritizing academics and providing opportunities for test-taking, SMSB has demonstrated its commitment to the growth and development of its participants. In December, students in the SMSB program were allowed to complete the PSAT and M-STEP Exam at Detroit Country Day High School.  Administered by Dr. Tamera Gaines, a dedicated member of the program and parent of a participant, the practice test is now a regular part of the SMSB schedule. Dr. Gaines provided valuable guidance to students and parents regarding scoring and the importance of this exam in college admissions. The benefits of taking the PSAT and M-STEP Exam extend beyond simply earning a high score. By familiarizing themselves with the testing format and learning how to prepare for the official exam, students gain valuable experience that will serve them well in their academic and professional careers—taking the PSAT and M-STEP can provide students with a significant advantage regarding standardized testing.  Sound Mind Sound Body proudly recognizes its top performers on the December PSAT/M-STEP Exam. Congratulations to all who participated in this critical effort to prepare for academic success. Top PSAT Performers Per Age Level:
