History of the League
Sound Mind Sound Body Youth Association was founded in 2022 by the presidents of the organizations. SMSBYA National affiliate is AYF which has been around since 1996. The Association is geared towards both boys and girls ages 5-14.
The football season runs from July- December and practices are held throughout the summer Monday-Friday every week and during the school year Tuesday-Friday. Practice times, registration cost and volunteer opportunities differ from each organization.
We operate after-school programs where students spend over 300 hours of mentorship coordinated by volunteers weekly. We accomplish this by facilitating football and cheer programs.
Our purpose is to ensure comprehensive development of students in our community. Our focus is the academic, health, and physical wellness, spiritual/mental and social development of all students.
