Ready, set, cheer! Sound Mind Sound Body (SMSB) is staging its first league-wide Cheer Showcase & Media Day this Sunday. Several of the city’s best cheer squads will represent their respective team on the Southfield A&T field.

The Detroit City Lions, Eastside Raiders, Motor City Wolverines, River Rouge Panthers, Southfield Falcons, West 7 Rams, Westside Cubs, and the Westside Steelers are performing in the showcase. Each team has been gearing up to exceed high expectations.

The voice of cheerleaders carries the encouragement and positive reinforcement that each team needs. Technically sound, skilled, and energetic, the cheer squads are remarkable to watch.

With many athletes, coaches, volunteers, and supporters of levels 8U, 10U, 12U & 14U, SMSB is looking forward to hosting and showing each organization’s spirit, hard work, and determination. The pursuit to equip athletes with fundamentals to navigate in and beyond the sport of cheer is a contagious spirit within SMSB.

The Cheer Showcase will be a memorable performance with special guests performing along with the cheer squads. Commencement of the showcase production begins at 4 pm with scheduling through 7 pm. Tickets for all spectators are just $10, and children five and under are free. Ticket sales with the August 21st date will be honored at the gate.
