Exciting League Wide 7v7 Youth Event Set to Kick Off the Season

Farmington, June 18 – Sound Mind Sound Body is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated 7v7 Youth Event, an exciting showcase of talented inner-city youth. The event is scheduled for June 18 at North Farmington High School and will kick off another great season.

The 7v7 Youth Event aims to provide a unique platform for ambitious players and cheerleaders to demonstrate their abilities while fostering a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie. The tournament will feature 10 of the best organizations in Michigan: Detroit City Lions, Detroit Spartans, Detroit Titans, Eastside Raiders, Oldtown Ducks, River Rouge Panthers, Southfield Lathrup Falcons, West Seven Rams, Westside Cubs, and Westside Steelers.

President Shawn Smith of the Southfield Falcons shared his excitement for Saturday. “We are looking forward to a fantastic event for the league. We hope to get the kids more exposure this year, see the hard work of other teams, and have some fun.”

The fun-filled atmosphere promotes community involvement and fosters camaraderie as spectators enjoy an action-packed 7v7, lineman challenges, and cheer performances.

“Cheerleaders aren’t usually included in the 7v7 event, so Saturday gives us an opportunity to meet other teams and show our spirit,” shared Westside Cubs Cheer Coordinator Teresa Parham. “Our parents are so excited to come and watch their girls perform.”

In addition to supporting the young athletes and organizations, there will be food trucks and vendor stations.

The League Wide 7v7 is from 10 am – 7 pm. Admission to the fundraising event is $10.
