Our goal is to increase the number of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds who complete high school and enroll in and complete their postsecondary education.

OBJECTIVE 1: SECONDARY SCHOOL PERSISTENCE

    • Guidance on course selection to meet graduation requirements
    • Tutoring to boost GPA and test scores
    • Annual audit of student pathway to graduation for credits earned
    • Workshops on study skills, time management, and test taking
    • Individual Educational Planning for four -year graduation path
OBJECTIVE 3: SECONDARY SCHOOL GRADUATION (RIGOROUS STUDY)
15% OF SENIORS GRADUATE
  • HOW OBJECTIVE WILL BE ATTAINED
    • Guidance on course selection to ensure students enroll in rigorous courses and when possible AP and IB courses.
    • Collaboration with the schools and other partners to ensure students are successful in completion of rigorous courses.
    • Connection to quality professional tutoring and providing peer tutoring from students who have already been successful in rigorous courses.
    • Workshops on study skills, time management, and test taking
    • Individual Educational Planning for four year graduation path
OBJECTIVE 4: POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION ENROLLMENT

    • College entrance exam assistance for the ACT/SAT
    • Financial aid assistance including completion of the FAFSA and scholarship applications and financial literacy for reducing loan debt
    • Where applicable, assistance in course selection for post-secondary courses
    • College tours for select students to pursue 4-year institutions
OBJECTIVE 5: POST-SECONDARY ATTAINMENT
29% WHO GRADUATED AND ENROLLED IN INSTITUION OF HIGHER EDUCATION, OBTAIN DEGREE WITHIN 6 YEARS
  • HOW OBJECTIVE WILL BE ATTAINED
    • Financial aid assistance including completion of the FAFSA and scholarship applications and financial literacy for reducing loan debt
    • Where applicable, assistance in course selection for post-secondary courses
    • College tours for select students to pursue 4-year institutions to find the right fit
    • Tracking of students to ensure they are still in the higher education pipeline
