Raphael Johnson, national motivational speaker and Day-Time Television Personality serves as the Director of SMSB student-athlete development. He has developed specific content to improve the “Decision Making Process” for high school student-athletes at SMSB. He is the current President and Director of Total Package Lifestyle, INC, which has been in operations for 10 years. He is a national provider of youth training and development programs, professional speaking, corrections consulting, publishing and transportation.
Raphael is also the founder of The 180 Program™ where students learn behavior modification skills and interventions geared at the promotion of high academic achievement and improved behavior. This is a proven Title I eligible program that has a near 90% success rate as of 2013.
Mr. Johnson is now into his eighth season as a Day-Time TV Personality for The Maury Show where he works specifically with “out-of-control teens” and “controlling men.” Raphael is also the 2008 national winner of Steve Harvey's Best Community Leader Hoodie Award.
Across the world, Raphael is recognized as the Founder of the community patrol group, “The Detroit 300.” Before being dissolved in 2012, this group was instrumental in creating safety zones throughout the City of Detroit for women, children and senior citizens. More importantly, in its two-year run, the organization had a 100% success rate in helping to solve some of Detroit’s most heinous crimes.Among his many other recognitions, he has also authored three books. His autobiography, "To Pose A Threat: My Rite of Passage,” has gained high acclaims across the world. This work was inducted into the African American Literature Special Collection at Wayne State University in 2007. Raphael is the recipient of numerous honors and awards including the “Michiganian of the Year” for 2011.
